Pacuare River - Class III & IV (1 Day Trip)
Description:
The Pacuare River is rated one of the top rivers in the world.
You'll experience the intimate nature of the rainforest via the river.
The warm water, cascading waterfalls and lush rainforest with its brilliantly colored plants, animals and birds make the Pacuare a must do.
Located on Costa Rica's Atlantic Slope, the Pacuare River borders the Talamanca mountain range; which is home to native Cabecar Indians and an incredible variety of wildlife, including parrots, toucans, deer, jaguars, ocelots, monkeys, butterflies and much more.
Add in the exciting Class III-IV whitewater rapids and you have a tropical adventure packed with rich experiences that last long after you've returned home.
You have 14 miles of rafting from San Martin to Siquirres.
The full day trip starts with an early morning pickup from your San Jose hotel.
You will be transported by private, comfortable bus to the operations center for a delicious, typical Costa Rican breakfast and to change into your rafting gear.
At the put-in the guides will review and adjust all necessary equipment for proper fit, give a comprehensive rafting safety talk and instruct you on paddling basics.
You will enjoy an adrenaline packed afternoon running the Pacuare's biggest rapids, with names like Upper & Lower Huacas, Cimarron, Dos Montanas and more.
After your journey you will be transported back to the center for a delicious lunch, drinks and showers.
